Embassy Suites Hotel San Antonio-Northwest/I-10

This is my second time staying at this hotel. Overall, the hotel is great for the price. The only issue I had was, the clerk placed me in a smoking room without even asking me if I wanted a smoking room. The room was obviously used for smoking on a regular basis due to the strong odor of smoke. I had to get a room a change immediately. I asked the clerk if they even have smoking rooms, she said sometimes. The overall check-in process took about 30 minutes from the moment I walked in, until the time I got into the second room. Aside from the bad check-in experience, my stay at the hotel was wonderful. They have a great FREE happy hour and breakfast. The breakfast is cook to order giving you the options of omelets, pancakes,eggs, and sides. The pool and hot tub is also great for an evening dip or swim before retiring for the night. Spacious rooms with an extremely comfortable bed.

Excellent overall, very helpful in all aspects.

The hotel as a whole was very nice. The large fountain had no water in it, which was kind of disappointing (they could have been having it fixed). The breakfast was decent. TV in both rooms was nice as well as microwave and small refrigerator. I don't understand why there was trash already in our trashcan, but I'm sure that isn't normal for the rooms. The rooms are in decent condition, but I would rate this hotel 2.5 to 3 stars, nothing higher.

After calling to let the hotel that I'd be a late check-in and asking for certain accomadations I was upset when I arrived to find out that I didn't get the type of room I wanted and was placed in the "last" room available because I was a late check in. It was a decent room, as far as looks go, but it was a smoking room and so it smelled of a mix between stale cigerattes and cucumber melon spray. 4th time staying here, my family and I just love it! Great made-to-order breakfast (but go within first or last 30 minutes for short lines), we will be back again and again!
